UK Citizenship

UK Citizenship

These language learning videos were developed over a period of two years. Individuals were interviewed and asked to talk about their job roles and what citizenship meant to them. The outcome of this is 73 videos with rich information and language and literacy opportunities. Thanks to Mary Clayton and Wendy Godden for allowing me to drag them around Yorkshire and interview so many people who generously gave their time.
Language Levels: beginners = (E1) (E2) (E3); intermediate = (L1) (L2).

    English for Driving Theory

    English for Driving Theory

The workbook and interactive materials below were developed for ESOL and literacy students and mapped to Entry 2 of both Curricula, though most of the worksheets were used successfully with higher levels and simplified for Entry 1 students. The target audience were those planning on taking their Driving Theory Test whilst wanting to improve their English. Developed in collaboration with Jennie Cole in 2005 and later as a commercial venture with Tribal.
Many of the interactive documents use Visual Basic coding in Microsoft Programs. If using Office 2007, you need to click 'Enable Macros' when asked by the computer. If using Office 2003, you can Enable Macros by opening the program (PowerPoint, Word or Excel) and clicking Tools > Macro > Security > click Low or Medium > close the program > reopen program and then the file again.
Click the underlined links to open interactive documents or use Right-Click Save Target As to download the materials.
